Gavin Threet
Gavin is a competitive driver from the small town of Crossville, TN. He has a passion for all
forms of motorsports, with drifting being is his favorite. It all started from growing up watching
The Dukes of Hazzard and Smokey and The Bandit. Gavin learned his basic driving skills
from driving on racing simulators and sliding his parents expedition in a field when he was
just 13. Over the next few years he honed his instincts and adaptability by competing in
almost every form of competitive shooting. After going to his first formula drift event at Road
Atlanta at 17, Gavin knew he just had to try drifting. The very first drift event he participated
in was a beginners clinic put on by Tennessee Drift during December of 2020. Since then,
Gavin has continued to build his nitrous fed LS E46 BMW into what it is today. In just his
first two years of drifting he has competed in many series including Formula Drift Pro-am and
ITrack Motorsports’ Excite GP. Gavin placed 1st for the Excite GP 2022 season with two 1st
and one 2nd place finishes, and also qualified 4th at LS Fest East 2022. His love and
passion for drifting comes from the build freedom, friendliness in the community, and it's a lot
of fun.
