2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited For Sale

The 2006 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited is a special model Rubicon with a 10 inch longer than standard wheelbase and 12 inches overall extra length. This extra length provides a more stable ride and extra room in the back for passengers and storage. The Unlimited models are actually quite limited and very desirable.

This Rubicon Unlimited is a two owner and has been a been a third vehicle for both families - thus the low miles. Very light fire road usage - I mostly used it to go fly fishing and mountain biking. No heavy duty 4×4 off road work ever.

Update - Just discovered the factory warranty is still in effect until 10/29/09 or 36,000 miles.

  • Very Low Miles -11,400
  • 6 Cylinder, 4.0 liter
  • 6 Speed manual
  • Hard top and soft top
  • Wilderness Expedition Full Roof Rack
  • Alloy wheels
  • Tilt steering wheel
  • Power Steering
  • Privacy glass
  • Rear seat
  • AC
  • AM/FM/CD
  • Wide tires
  • Cruise control
  • Front airbags
  • Rubber floor mats (not shown)
  • Thule bike rack

A few things to note - The soft top system is not installed at this time. It does fit under the hard top when folded down. When set-up this way access through the back door is limited due to the soft top frame resting across the back door opening. To switch tops you loosen the front roof rack attachments and fold the rack all the way back (like a clam shell) so it is resting on the ground behind the Jeep (the roof rack is hinged at the back). You then remove the hard top and install the soft top. This is a 2-3 person job that takes about 1 hour to complete.

If the sale of this Jeep requires shipping, I will remove all of the soft panels from the soft top frame and store them inside the Jeep and then strap the soft top framework to the roof rack with padding. The soft top is in excellent condition.

Back seat is not shown in photos, but is included in the sale and is in excellent condition. Will be installed before delivery.

Flat tow and braking system - I originally thought I would flat tow the Rubicon behind a motorhome, but never did. It currently has a flat tow system installed which is NOT included in the auction price, but I will sell it with the Jeep for an extra $1,500 if you want it. All components are brand new, never used and include Stowmaster 5000 tow bar and Roadmaster Portable 9700 braking system. The original installed cost of this set-up was $2,770. Again, the Jeep has NO flat tow miles on it, I never used the tow system. If you do not want this set-up I will remove it before delivery of the Jeep.

This is my personal Jeep, I’m not a dealer. This car is in excellent condition, no accidents, no repaints, never smoked in, gently used by a mature and conservative owner. Driven only for light recreational activities, no heavy off road use. It is however a used vehicle and shows signs of use.

The car is located in the beautiful resort town of Bend, Oregon. Direct daily flights from LA, San Francisco, Salt Lake, Denver, Portland and Seattle. Fly in, take a vacation and drive it home.

Please don’t ask me to end the auction early. I’ve set a very reasonable reserve based on Kelly Blue Book pricing. I have no interest in giving this Rubicon away for a low ball price. If you like it and want it, please bid!

$1,000 Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 5 business days via wire transfer only. Buyer is responsible for any shipping cost. I will help coordinate pick-up with your shipper if desired.
